This is an overview of the admin menu and what does what etc.

Admin Panel

Admin Home - This takes us back to the adimin home ( original home )

Credits - This lists who has contributed to osDate.

Sign Out - Sign out of administration.

Members

Member Profiles - Displays all members profiles.

Profiles for Approval - If a profile needs to be approved it will be displayed here.

Profile Rating - Lets you setup a/or question/s based on profile ratings.

Reactivate User - Has a user disabled there profile or been suspended, reactivate the profile here.

Featured Profiles - This lists all profiles that are featured - See Gold Star in Member Profiles.

Send Letter - Send a letter to all members of the website.

Member Search - Search for a member using different search techniques

Blog - Lets you setup a blog for your site, then lets users add to the blog.

Blog Search - Search to see other users whom have a blog

Affiliates

Affiliate Management - Check to see who has registered to become an affiliated user.

Affiliate Statistics - Check the statistics of your current affiliates.

Localities

Manage Country/States - Lets you view/edit/add your Coutries or States

Process Cities File - Load the specified cities file - This is a csv file, open in Excel.

Process Counties File - Load the specified countries file - This is a csv file, open in Excel.

Process States file - Load the specified states file - This is a csv file, open in Excel.

Load Zip Codes - Load the specified zip or post codes file - This is a csv file, open in Excel.

Content

Manage Languages - Each time you edit the language file, you must reload the language file you changed.

Article Management - Lets you add articles for display on your main page.

News Management - Lets you add news topics for display on your main page.

Page Management - Lets you edit the footer section of your site e.g. Faq's, About Us, also lets you add more pages.

Poll Management - Lets you add a poll to your site, useful for demographic information.

Story Management - Let your users know of different stories for your website.

Section Management - This is the heart of the content of the website, this is where you edit 99% of the questions and answers of your website.

Banner Management - This lets you add banners to your site, this section is also used for the email banners, a banner you place here will also be placed in your email when you send out a letter. You can switch off the banners in the email in the global settings -

See - Add display of the banner advertisement in email? - Gives option yes/no. If banner advert is displayed in the email sent out to its members.

Financial

Membership Management - This is where you specify who gets what with your members e.g. a basic user may not get access to chat, yet a gold
member has access to everything.

Membership Expiry Letter - Specify when to send out the expiry letter to inform the user to upgrade again.

Payment Modules - Ths is where you choose how your site will recieve payment.

Payments Report - Shows you a report on who has paid what for each module.

Tools

Admin Management - Lets you add a admin to your site - You cannot add a profile to this admin. Create the profiles seperately.

Admin Permissions - Lets you specify what the admin has access too and what they can change.

Calendar Admin - Lets you activate the current Calendar.

Calendar - Opens in a new window and shows you the Calendar, and what changes can be added or editted.

Change Password - Change the password of your current admin for your website.

Chat - Opens the chat in a new window and lets you login to the flashchat as an admin - Chat with other users.

Forum Management - Maintain and administrate the Forum from this setting.

Import - Lets you import a database from another dating script, currently supports: DatingPro, aeDating, Webdate

Plugins - This is a special area for the admin and lets you add special features to your website unlike previous versions of osDate, currently supports the following plugins: Adult Questionnaire, Advanced Hot or Not, Atom Feed, Auto Profile Generator, Compatibility Questionnaire, Google Map, Hot or Not, Language Banners, Lucky Spin, My Friends, RSS Feed, Payment History, Backup and Restore, Scrolling Gallery ,Speed Dating.

SEO Settings - This is also an important part of your website, where you specify the title of your site, and more importantly the meta tag description and meta tag keywords - this is also editted in the System wide controls.

Site Statistics - This gives the admin an overview of the website and what a common user has done, or visited etc.

Site's Global Settings - Gives you access to main part of the site, see :

Plugins - Anything below this is usually what plugins have been installed, and are currently displayed on your website.
