I just bought the flash applet the other day, and found it very hard to use.
It believe it should pull the configuration info for the ticker (which I set up once) from a different file than the XML content, which I generate dynamically and comes from a variety of sources, written in different scripting languages.
I have numerous scripts that generate XML content, but modifying each one to incorporate, reiterate and generate a config header is a serious chore and not worth the effort, especially because it locks me into a particular presentation of the information.
I would much rather set up the config header in a separate file.
