I went to your chat, but there's no bot running. Here's the commands (incase you didn't know)...

/addbot botname
/startbot botname
/killbot botname
/showbots

Example:

/addbot GenoBot
/startbot GenoBot

This will create and start a bot. Make the name whatever you want. You will see the bot login just like a regular user. You can then talk to it. You must be logged in as an admin!

If none of this works, I would have to see your setup to really help more.

BTW, I assume you're running the newest flashchat version. :)

Well I went and played with your bot a bit... without being able to look at your database tables and your files, it's hard to say why the bot is not sending text. I hear the response, but no text.

If you'd like me to look deeper, feel free to PM me, or hook up with me through AIM or MSN ( at bottom of this post). I'd be happy to take a look. I've helped several others with problems, but would need you ftp and phpmyadmin info. So it's really up to you.

Another thing to try is this:

In your chat/appdata folder - reupload a blank copy of bots.txt, then make sure it's set to chmod=777 . Then from inside your chat readd the bot "/addbot Alice" then restart "/startbot Alice" and see if that helps.

Every install is different, every host is different. It's really hard to say what is causing the problem. here's some things I know will cause it:

1. A bad bots.txt file (which you tried already).
2. If you have EVER tried running botloader.php or botloaderinc.php. Neither one works for FlashChat installs.
3. Look in your bot/programe/src/botinst folder. There should be a file there called subs.inc and it should NOT be 0 bytes. If it's missing, or it's 0 bytes, set the botinst folder to chmod=777 and try running my botupdate script (DLable in the Code Depot Area).

Other than that, I strongly suggest you try upgrading to 4.2.1. It requires a reinstall, but may fix the problem. Upgrades are free.

talk.php is a script that comes with programE and is in your bot/programe/src/ folder. Made to add programe to a webpage.

I'll agree with that statement. :) Now to figure out what it is.

I actually spent some time on Sejan's site trying to figure it out with no luck. My bot works with both FC and talk.php and I can not see an "obvious" difference between my install and Sejan's... other than our Hosts, and both are linux.. I wonder if it's the Host's Php version? But you'd think talk.php wouldn't work then...

If you'd like to PM me your ftp and MySql info, I'd be happy to look at yours, maybe I'd get lucky. I've been given login info by several people and have never abused anyone's site. That's no why I'm here. But that is up to you.
