This is a message that I received from one of my SEO software while scanning for page optimization. I have purchased several skins but this is the only one that I get this message with. What can be done?

"A. General page properties

1. Both the text and background of your page have the same color! This is a commonly used way of deceiving search engines and it is easily detected. Change the color of text or background to avoid inevitable problems. If you use images or objects (flash, ActiveX) as background, search engines cannot detect whether background and text colors coincide--they compare body background color with the text color. In this case, make sure the body background color is not the same as the text color. Otherwise, your page may be penalized for nothing, even if the text is visible in browser windows."

carefully check the css file(default.css) for the skin...this is where very nearly all the colours are usually defined.

Cheers

Thanx for that info but I really don't know what or want to change the color scheme of the skin. I'm thinking that this was picked up because the background is black and the lettering is black. If so, this is a defect that may have negative effects on users of this skin. I don't know and was hoping for some input from the person(s) who put this template together as to what to do in this situation.

The original definition is background in black color with all text in white.

I don't know any other changes happened.

Edit the default.css from /templates/celebration/default.css file.

You should have
body {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
background-color: #000000;
margin: 5px 30px;
color: #FFFFFA;
}

THis at the top of the file. This clearly defines Black as background and White for all texts unless otherwise defined.
