I have a website with weddate software, is there anyway I can add this flashchat to my website with webdate, or do I need to install a cms like joomla first? Can anyone help me with this?

There should be a cms file for webdate that comes with flashchat. Make sure the chat folder is in the webdate folder and set the permissions on the first page. Then put a check in the checkbox on this first page of the install and select your webdate cms and then follow the directions from there.

There is a webdateCMS file in your version of flashchat. After you set permissions to all the files and folders you need to add a check to the checkbox on this first page of the install to get the option to select webdate as your cms integration. Also make sure the chat folder is inside the webdate folder.

So webdate is in your web root folder? That's ok, but tthe chat folder goes inside that... EXAMPLE: if your webdate is in public_html/ then the chat folder should be public_html/chat.

ok i tranfered the files to my public_html folder and changed the permission to 777 in the cmses folder for webdate, do I have to change the permission for every single file of the flashchat before I can install it?

Everything that says no beside it would have to have the permissions changed to 777 for the install yes.

I cant figure this out, is there anyone that can install this for me and the module pack for me?
I cant figure this out, is there anyone that can install this for me and the module pack for me?
1. Start your ftp program in one window.
2. Start the chat/install.php in another window.
3. You'll see a list of files and folders that will either say yes or no to the right.
Example: If the chat/inc/config.php says "NO" then click on your ftp window go to the chat/inc folder, click on config.php and set it to chmod 777. This is done different in most programs, in SmartFTP you LftClick on the file and one of the choices is chmod.
4. Click on the install.php window and click refresh. Now chat/inc/config.php should say YES.
5. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until everything says YES.
6. Click on the integrations box at the top left, then click continue.
7. You'll see a list of cms and forum programs, click the box for WebDate and click continue.
8. The rest of the install is easy, I HIGHLY recommend you don't try to add rooms during the install.
9. You now need to add a link to WebDate to chat/flashchat.php. I don't know how because I don't have WebDate. Some programs you need to edit a template file, others have a way to do it from the Admin Panel.
Note for testing: Once you've logged into WebDate, you can change the url in your browser to www.yoursite.com/chat/flashchat.php (http://www.yoursite.com/chat/flashchat.php) and the chat should work.
If you still can not figure it out, PM me your ftp information and I'll install it for you.

Did you get Flashchat working with webdate 2.0. I have it installed with 2.0 and it works fine. Of course I did not integrate it into webdate. I just installed it within the directory where webdate is and added a link from my members menu. It works just fine.

Yes, there's a newer CMS file for WebDate 2.0 in the Code Depot (http://www.tufat.com/resources2.htm). It should also be in the 4.6.1DV .
