Is there a way of making RSS Reader 2 interpret foreign language characters correctly? I'm referring to Danish characters of course (ÃÃâ€*’Ãâ€Â*â€â„ ¢ÃƒÆ’â€ÂÂ*â€à ƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’Ãâ€*’âââ €šÂ¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃâ₠¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¦, ÃÃâ€*’Ãâ€Â*â€℠¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€ÂÂ*â€Ã ¢â€žÂ¢ÃƒÆ’Ãâ€*’âââ⠂¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ†šÃ‚¸, ÃÃâ€*’Ãâ€Â*â€℠¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€ÂÂ*â€Ã ¢â€žÂ¢ÃƒÆ’Ãâ€*’âââ⠂¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ†šÃ‚Â¥)

You may be able to control the applet itself but really it depends on the feeds that you are trying to bring in and how they have them setup. If they're not setup for your language then no.

Thanks. - The feeds are Danish and set set up for it. How can I change the applet though?

Should be just as simple as editing the xml file and saving it correctly. Make sure you don't use an editor that leaves hidden characters or spaces or this will be an issue but the flash end and the xml file are already setup with utf-8 so it should be an easy task.

I added this in the actionscript on frame 1: System.useCodepage = true;
This, I guess, would also work for other languages that use special characters - which is just about some 500 languages other than English!
I couldn't get FlashCard to work either - will try adding System.useCodepage = true; to that too.
