Background images in tickers?

Hi all,
is it possible to have background images in the tickers?

I am hoping to use a background image to give the illusion of the ticker being on a transparent background - by duplicating a section of background image that lays directly under the ticker.

I would like to think there are many others that would find this a little more than useful too.

If this is currently not possible...any takers on a small mod? ;)

Hi guys n gals,
I have now down this by editing the flash file.
I still think this would be a great additionto all tickers & timers etc.

I am now trying to figure out if i can use otherimages that .jpg's as this seams not to be the case :(
does anyone know if I am likely to run into dificulties useing a gif with transparencies?

I would also love to know if anyone knows where in the code I would be able to alter the order of the elements? I need to have the image displayed abov the title & text

Flash will only read jpg files. The only way to allow flash to see gif images is imbedding them into a swf file.

Hey gang. Ok I got everything working in the rss new reader 1. I embedded the applet into an iframe and the reader seems to be working but, the news links are not coming up at all. Here is a the exact page of the reader that I am trying to get to work http://www.everyday-pchelp.com/iframe2.php Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong with the script, or reader.... I have checked the file permissions and everything is fine with that part.

I would of just extracted the files from the deploy folder to the root of what ever folder you wanted these to work in and that would of saved you a lot of trouble trying to figure out the path for the xml file.
