Hi there
I've placed the ticker inside another .fla (as a mc) file and I would like to set the height to 75px only, but I can't see how I can do this.
Can someone be kind enough as to explain how I can do this please?
Thanks

You'll need flashMX 2004 and you then can resize the applet.

I have that version, I've looked at the code and can't see where abouts in the code to place the height.
Thx

I used the resize tool and set the hight that way and then set the swf file size to that. You may still need to do some re-adjusting but it will work that way.

Thanks for the reply, the problem I have is that I want to place the scroller inside another movie which is bigger.
The text just scrolls up to the very top of the movie when I just want it placed within a box.

Ok that's a bit tricker I think but I'll save your post here and see if I can create something like your talking about. If so I'll tell you what I did then.

Ok I don't know if this will work for you not knowing how you have your main movie setup but what I did was create a new layer and then create a retangle that would go over the bottom and top of the ticker. I didn't make it a mask or anything like that but just simply made these rectangles fit at the very top and bottom of the ticker and make them the height of the movie clip so the ticker text and images would only show inside the ticker then. Hope that works for you.

I am sure you set this within the code you use to display the ticker?
see the example index.html
if not ther are a number of ways of doing it but resizing the elements within flash is as good as any - it's the nobrainer way I chose :)
good luck
